Max Baer Jr. – 87Years Old – Retired But Still Doing Business
As an actor, Max Baer is best remembered for his role as the well-meaning Jethro Bodine in the ’60s series The Beverly Hillbillies. He was a crucial part of the show, acting in it for the entire nine-season run, before making a name for himself as an astute film businessman.
Baer made two successful films: the 1974 film Macon County Line, which made $25 million at the box office on a budget of $110, 000 and Ode To Billy Joel in 1976, which made $29.65 million off $1.1 million. He also bought the right to the Beverly Hillbillies brand and is building an empire on themed casino games and venues.
